At the 2024 LEEP Demo Day held in Denver, CO, VERDE Nanomaterials was among the innovative climate-tech ventures featured during this national showcase of emerging clean energy technologies. The event brought together fellows from all eight Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Program (LEEP) nodes, highlighting the next generation of science-based entrepreneurs tackling some of the world’s most pressing climate and sustainability challenges.

Our founder Danielle, a fellow in the Cyclotron Road program at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, presented the company’s technology during the pitch session and hosted a demo table highlighting VERDE’s low-cost, plastic-free materials platform. The Demo Day marked the culmination of the two-year fellowship, which supports entrepreneurial scientists in advancing transformative technologies from lab to market.

In addition to presenting VERDE’s progress, the event provided an opportunity to connect with other LEEP fellows from across the U.S., fostering a growing network of scientists and engineers committed to climate impact. The LEEP Demo Day continues to serve as a key platform for national collaboration and commercialization of early-stage deep tech.
