We’re excited to announce a major milestone in VERDE’s technology development: the successful scale-up demonstration of our nanocellulose production process at the 10-liter level.
In collaboration with the Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts Process Development Unit (ABPDU) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, we executed a scale-up trial using a 10L reactor system. This achievement confirms that our process can deliver consistent, high-quality results beyond the lab bench—proving its robustness, reproducibility, and scalability.
Our proprietary technology converts low-cost, lignocellulosic waste into high-performance cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) with significantly lower energy input than traditional methods. Demonstrating success beyond lab-bench scale is a critical step toward commercial deployment, validating the potential for industrial-scale manufacturing of sustainable biomaterials.
We’re grateful to the ABPDU team for their support and expertise, and we look forward to continuing this journey toward building a more circular, decarbonized materials economy.
